The Dawson is the dream location for the urban dweller wanting to be in the center of everything.
Now under construction and scheduled for April 2005 occupancy, The Dawson will open its doors to residents who can walk from our prime location to anything and everything the City has to offer. See for yourself:

Photo #2: Looking northeast, with The Dawson at the lower center of the photo. Residents can walk 5 blocks to the northeast and pass the Old State House, the Museum of Natural History and The History Musuem, The State Legislature complex, and just a few more blocks away visit the oaktree lined streets and historic homes of Oakwood. back-to-top
Photo #3: Looking southeast, with The Dawson in the lower center of the photo. Residents can walk right across the street to the City Hall parking deck (very convenient parking for weekend visitors and guests) and the City Hall and Police Headquarters buildings (see the small white circle at the street corner). The Dawson is located in one of Raleigh's safest districts. One block away is beautiful Nash Square Park, and then only 2 blocks away is the downtown center, anchored on the north and south sides by the 30 story Wachovia and Hannover Two buildings. You can feel the excitement in the air with next year's coming redevelopment of Fayetteville St Mall and new shops, offices, restaurants, and nightclubs it is sure to bring.

Photo #4: Looking southwest, with The Dawson in the lower right corner of the photo. Residents can also walk out their front door and be on the edge of the blossoming Warehouse district. The railroad tracks at the top of the photo is the southern boundary of the Warehouse district, and the norther boundary comes right up to The Dawson. The new Triangle Transit Rail Station (the TTA) is going to be downtown Raleigh's major transit transfer station for buses, trains and pedestrians. This new TTA complex will be located in the massive warehouses from the Morgan St. bridge to the "Y" railroad tracks (the "Y" is where the two railroad lines merge together to the upper right corner of the photo). Construction on this transit station is scheduled to start next year in 2005. Not only are Dawson residents walking distance from the Warehouse districts' restaurants, clubs and art galleries, Dawson residents will soon be able to walk to the train and commute by rail to north Raleigh, RTP, and Durham. Plus, the $100,000,000 TTA station project is certainly going to attract more residential condos, restaurants, and downtown vitality and excitement in the Warehouse district. Feel like you're getting in on the ground floor yet?!

Photo #5: Looking northwest, with The Dawson at the bottom center of the photo. And if you don't want to wait for the TTA trains, you can walk today to Glenwood South, the Triangle's hottest entertainment center. Just 3 blocks to the northwest is the large grey top of the Powerhouse Square parking deck, the first class historic redevelopment project that kicked off Glenwood South five years ago and which today represents the southern entry to the Glenwood entertainment district. All of Glenwood Avenue can been seen in this photo, with the upper center of the photo showing the intersection of Glenwood and Peace Streets. Everyone across the Triangle knows Glenwood South's fine restaurants and eateries, energized dance clubs, interesting and eclectic shops, and electrifying late night street life. Live at The Dawson, and all this and more is outside your front door. back-to-top
